Why blend beef and vegetables?

Open tab

We think quality meats and whole vegetables are crucial to our diets to help us live the best lives we can! Also, eating a diverse diet helps support farm economies all over! We took this belief and create Omnivore Meats Beef! Now we can enjoy the taste, texture, and nutrition of real beef and one FULL 1/2 cup serving of vegetables at the same time.

Does Omnivore Meats Beef contain real beef?

Open tab

Yes it does! We simply blended REAL grass-finished beef raised in the Pacific Northwest with whole vegetables to create our products.

Is Omnivore Meats Beef plant-based?

Open tab

You could say that, while not 100% "plant-based" we use REAL plants like whole carrots, cabbage, lentils, and butternut squash. Most "plant-based" products use isolated proteins or highly processed things that originated in a plant. We don't use those, we use real, whole plants which is why we contain a serving of vegetables.

Ingredients

Are there any allergens?

Open tab

Nope! Omnivore Meats Beef contains none of the top 8 major food allergens. That means no soy, no milk, no eggs, no wheat, no tree-nuts, no peanuts, no fish, and no shellfish. Also, Omnivore Meats Beef is made with non-gmo ingredients and contains no gluten. Our ingredients are only beef, cabbage, carrots, lentils, butternut squash, and jasmine tea extract.

Are the vegetables non-GMO?

Open tab

Yes! All of our vegetables are Project Non-GMO verified!

Where does the beef come from?

We work with a network of local farms throughout the Pacific Northwest that follow strict animal stewardship and human processing standards. Through this practice we are supporting proper animal raising with hopes the future will be all grass-finished beef.

Where do the vegetables come from?

Open tab

We work with farms from around the globe where our vegetables grow the best and have strict non-GMO growing policies. By using vegetables from different locations we are able to support different growing seasons. Just like humans need a diverse diet to stay healthy, the soil that we grow our food from does too. By using a variety of vegetables, we're able to support biodiversity in our crops, that way our soil can stay healthy too.

By sourcing our beef from our network of local ranches we are able to support proper animal raising and human processing which is the livelihood that these agricultural communities thrive from.

How does Omnivore Meats Beef use less water?

Open tab

By replacing some of the beef in our product with whole vegetables we are able to offset the typical amount of water used to produce 1 pound of ground beef drastically saving over 100 gallons of water per pound! Vegetables naturally require less water to produce.

Why grass-fed beef?

Open tab

We only use grass-finished beef because it supports quality, local, agriculture and because it is only fed grass instead of soy and corn which are produced on mega farms it is much more sustainable and if done properly, can actually remove carbon from our atmosphere, easing global warming effects! Long story short, eating grass fed beef is actually beneficial to the environment and climate!

What is biodiversity and why is it important?

Open tab

Biodiversity is the variety of life in an ecosystem, meaning the variety of plants, animals and everything else that's in an ecosystem. Just like it's important for us to eat a diverse range of foods in order to stay healthy becuase of all the vitamins and nutrients that a diverse diet has to offer, it's important for the environment to be the same way to stay healthy. By having a diverse range of animals and crops in our environment, we can ensure the health of our environment. The opposite of biodiversity is monoculture, which means that there is only one type of crop and/or animal in the area. Monoculture is shown to be negative on the environment because there isn't a diverse range of vitamins and nutrients (aka plant and animals) which help the environment.
