  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Get your grill, flat top, cast iron, bonfire, or non-stick fired up! We'll be cooking the burgers on medium to high heat. You're going to be cooking in no time.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, crumble in the omnivore meats beef. Then add all of the dry and liquid seasonings for the burger. Mix together with your hands because it's more fun that way. Place in the refrigerator while we get everything else prepared.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together all of the sauce ingredients and chill it in the fridge until we're ready to spread.

Step 4

Wash all of your veggies well and then pat dry and place on a clean rag to dry. Slice the tomatoes then the onions in case someone doesn't like onions but they like tomatoes. Sprinkle a pinch of salt on the tomatoes and drizzle olive oil on the onions because we are going to grill them!

Step 5

Grab the omnivore meats beef mixture from the fridge. Form into three equal size balls then, using both hands, press each out into a patty shape. Season outside of patties with adequate salt & pepper. Place each patty on whatever you chose to cook them on and cook for about 3 minutes on each side. Place the oiled onions on the cooking surface to get some char.

Step 6

While your patties are cooking on the second side, grab your buns and lather them in melted butter. An even layer of butter on the buns will result in even toasting. Place the buns butter side down on the surface of whatever you're cooking the burgers on and let them get golden brown. It's okay if a little burger juice gets on the buns... What.. are you afraid of flavor? At this point, you can put a slice of your favorite cheese on the burger, I would go with sharp cheddar.

Step 7

Now we assemble your masterpiece! Let your burgers rest for a few minutes after they come off the cooking surface to hold in some extra juices. Put a spread of the sauce on the base of the bun then place the burger on top. Next comes another dollop of sauce then lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, then another little spread of sauce on the top bun because, SAUCE! Sit back with your favorite humans and have a good time!
