Ingredients
- 1 pound tteok
- 2 TBSP olive oil
- 3 TBSP butter, unsalted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound Omnivore Beef 80% lean 20% fat
- 1 TBSP hot pepper paste
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- Parmesan for grating
- Salt, to taste
- 2 TBSP basil, chopped
- 2 TBSP parsley, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Follow the package instructions for the Tteok and cook until tender. Set aside.
Step 2
Add the olive oil and butter to a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sweat until aromatic.
Step 3
Add the meat and cook until browned, using a wooden spoon to break it up into smaller pieces as it cooks. Season with salt to taste!
Step 4
Add the hot pepper paste in the middle of the pan and fry lightly. Mix into the meat to combine.
Step 5
Add the tteok, lemon zest, and as much grated Parmesan desired and stir to combine. Taste and add salt if needed (or more cheese)!
Step 6
Serve topped with fresh herbs! YUM!
